Madelyn danced in her 2nd annual recital at the beginning of June. She's been practicing this dance since January. They danced to the Muppets opening song and then "Rainbow Connection". It was wonderful! I will upload the video soon hopefully. Here are some pics to tide you over.

The Dandelion Princess

Once there was a little Dandelion Princess named Madelyn. She loved dandelions because she was allowed to pick as many as she wanted and so she picked and picked and picked. She brought flowers to her mommy everyday and one day her mommy taught her how to make dandelion chains and wreaths and tea. They had a lovely tea party on that warm sunny day and lived happily ever after.

Madelyn's 4 year well child visit

Madelyn is hitting or exceeding all her milestones and seems to have come out the other side of this cold bug unscathed. She had her first vision test today, 20/40 sight, which is normal for a 4 year old. Jeremy was very happy about that, it seems as though Madelyn has got my good vision and won't be needing glasses. She was very polite and didn't cry or even flinch when she got her shots today. She did throw quite a hissy about us remembering to get her a sticker on the way out tho LOL

Stats:
4 1/4 yrs old
35.5 lbs (40%)
40 1/4 inches (38%)

We also got the best praise I think you can get from a pediatrician who sees kids all day, everyday, and that was to compliment how well behaved all our children are.

A day in the life of Madelyn

Today I learned many things! We first did some science experiments with dry oatmeal. I learned about measurements and sifting and volumn and also gravity by throwing it everywhere. It was also a good lesson in sharing and in how much patience Mommy has.

Then we did some building with our Lincoln Logs and learned about horses and cowboys. Apparently when you leave the gate open, Mommy makes all the horses gallop away and the cowboy then ropes them and brings them back home.

I've also been helping Mommy cook dinner everynight! We've made spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, fajitas and french onion soup! Here I am practicing my cutting with Mommy's help. I'm very good at following directions and listening, otherwise Mommy says I can't do it anymore.

I've also been writing letters and reading lots of books. Yesterday we went to the library and brought home 35 books to read! We've been reading everyday for almost an hour! I LOVE reading!
